Trust The Experience Of Big B’s Plumbing to Your Trenchless Sewer Line Repair

Turn to Big B’s Plumbing for your Trenchless Sewer Line Repair. No homeowner ever wants to face replacing a sewer line. Traditional sewer line replacements can be expensive, not to mention the damage they can create to your landscape. Although trenchless sewer lines have been around for many years, most homeowners aren’t familiar with the method. Big B’s Plumbing has been educating Murrieta and Temecula customers about trenchless sewer lines for nearly a decade. At Big B’s Plumbing, we’re your #1 sewer line installation company in Murrieta and Temecula.

Cured-In-Place-Pipe Liners Are Another Name For Trenchless Sewer Lines

In most cases, your sewer line will have just one access hole to avoid collateral damage. A flexible pipe liner coated with resin, also known as a “cured-in-place pipe,” is inserted into the pipe and inflated. After the resin hardens, it will create a pipe within a pipe that’s corrosion-resistant and jointless. Despite the sewer line being about a quarter of an inch smaller, the capacity for waste removal will not be affected.

One of our plumbing specialists will thoroughly inspect the old line and provide a complete diagnosis of the sewer line. Your specialist will examine the soil type and assess how deep your pipe is underground and the extent of the current damage to your sewer line. In some cases, trenchless sewer line repairs can cost 30 to 50 percent less than conventional digging. At Big B’s Plumbing, we present all the options available regarding your sewer line repair.

Pipe Bursting Involves Pulling The New Pipe Through The Old Pipe

Most, but not every broken sewer line will qualify for a trenchless sewer line installation. In some rare cases, the lateral has collapsed, leaving no room to pull the cable through the original pipe. However, there are other options before tearing up your landscaping. We call the procedure pipe bursting, which involves pulling a new pipe through the old pipe while simultaneously breaking the old pipe away, then moving the new pipe in place. It usually requires two access holes on both sides of the pipes, causing very little damage to your landscaping. In unique situations, where either sewer line qualifies for replacing the old line, the old pipe will be dug up and replaced with acrylonitrile butadiene styrene pipe (ABS) or polyvinyl vinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. PVC’s life expectancy is 80 to 100 years, and ABS is 70 to 80.

What Are The Sign That Your Old Sewer Line Might Need Replacing?

Most broken sewer mains are common in older houses with clay or cast iron pipes. Knowing the symptoms that your sewer line might be compromised is best. Quick action could save a sewer line from collapsing altogether.

The Warning Signs That Your Sewer Main Is Broken:

  1. The smell of escaping sewage gases could mean the sewer main is cracked or broken.
  2. Slow-moving drains throughout the home are another sign that your drains are problematic. One blocked drain wouldn’t be a problem, but if the issue stems from the sewer pipe, you can rest assured that the problem directly relates to the sewer line.
  3. Tree roots could be an issue. Even the slightest crack in the sewer pipe would invite tree roots to live off the raw sewage. If the homeowner removes the roots, they will return unless the cracks get repaired or the roots are completely removed.
  4. A distinct lush green area on your lawn could mean you have a broken sewer pipe, and your raw sewage is fertilizing the lawn.

Any of these signs require an inspection of your sewer main. Your Big B’s Plumbing expert technicians will complete a camera inspection and provide their customers with all the facts. In some instances, such as a backed-up sewer line, a truck-mounted hydro jetter is called upon to clear the drain. People love this piece of equipment because it’s powerful and will even clear tree roots, leaving your drains sparkling clean. At Big B’s Plumbing, we’re your #1 trenchless sewer line installation company in Temecula and Murrieta.

What People Are Saying

I called Big B's Plumbing because the hot water would not turn off in our master bathroom.

I tried to turn the valve off under the sink and it broke off, so I had to shut off the main water to the house. It was noticeable the valves were original to the home. When I called, the rep stated that I would be informed about the service tech and their experience along with services offered "On The Spot". I was on a bit of a time crunch...

Found them on Google and they had good quality reviews. Made the call and set up the appointment for same day.

Dispatch called me a few hours later to confirm our appointment and let me know that the technician Mathew was on the way. This was supposed to be an easy job once Mathew arrived. But it turned out to be so much more than that. Without hesitation or a sour look on his face, he dove deep into his van...
